How does «PERIPHERIQ» works?
Target detection
The PERIPHERIQ perimeter protection system is based on Pulse-Doppler radar-type motion detectors. Our radar not only detects multiple moving targets, but also collects information about it: its size, speed, direction of movement, as well as spatial position of the target.
Target processing
All detected targets are analyzed by AI controller, which sorts targets, determining their class (drone / bird / man / machine) and evaluate level of threat for a particular site. When the most priority target is sorted out, it should be confirmed optically and accordingly AI controller aims the V17 camera module to see the target.

The video analytics recognizes and confirms the shape of a detected target in the frame. Further, the video analytics is able to independently control the V17 camera module, allowing you to track the target based only on the data from the camera. Video analytics works permanently while the camera is moving and zooming.

Application area

The main function of the Peripheriq system is the detection and trajectory control of the movement of UAVs and ground objects in protected areas.

Potential threats such as UAVs, humans, cars or boats are detected by active radar technology long before they cross the perimeter line.

Scope of «Peripheriq» modules:
The main components of Peripheriq system are a primary detection radar and an optical confirmation and tracking unit, or tracker (PTZ-camera with integrated AI).

The primary detection sensor is a non-cinematic movement sensor-type movement detector. It detects any moving target and collects data about it, including size, speed, direction and location. All detected targets are classified into the following types: human, animal, car, bird, airplane-type UAV or quadcopter-type UAV, and get filtered and sorted by level of danger.

In automatic mode, the highest priority target is tracked by confirmation system, or the Tracker. Video analytics of confirmation system recognizes and verifies the detected threat. Then it tracks it based on the video data only.

Optic verification unit (Tracker). It’s a completely new architecture of optical systems – an AI integrated tracker with neural data processing. The innovation mad it possible to reduce the response time from the rotation drive and the video analytics to less than 40 ms. Unified processing of data obtained by radar, optical system and PTZ mechanism allows to identify the location of target very accurately. All these processes are done completely automatically, with no operator interference. Once a danger is confirmed, an alarm or counter-measure device can be switched automatically through the integration unit.
